About the Cane Corso

The Cane Corso dog is a proven larger breed that has been used for protection since the early Roman Times. We don’t just sell dogs. We place them with people who need protection but also want a family member who shares in their life daily. Many say if they own a Cane Corso once they will never buy another breed. Well-bred Cane Corsos, since coming to the USA in the 1980s this breed began to get popular within the last decade and many have seen this breed already overbred in the USA. We import our dogs from Europe with cleaner bloodlines for more precise genetic patterns.

The Cane Corso is a natural guardian.  There are different breeds that share some of the similar lines as the Corso that has ben bred for thousands of years. The Napoleton Mastiff is a larger version with a more ‘droopy appearance’.

The Cane Corso has been gaining prominence for the last few years. Just a
few years ago the breed didn’t show up in the top 100 breeds registered by the AKC. Today the Cane Corso ranks at number 38 on the list. One must also consider that the majority of Cane Corsos are not even AKC registered.

One thing to remember is that the Cane Corso comes in several colors or a mix of them such as fawn, grey, brindle, brown and black. Hardcore K9 uses a variety of colors, focusing on temperament, bloodline, and health as most important.
